Works on every device

Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux — all you need is a browser.

Download YouTube videos without installing anything

Atlas Downloader runs entirely in your browser. There is no extension, app or desktop program to install, and you do not need a YouTube account. The heavy work — fetching the streams, merging video with audio and verifying the result — happens on our servers, so even an older phone can save a long 1080p video.

Unlike many downloaders that only offer a 720p file, YouTube stores high resolutions as separate video and audio tracks. Atlas fetches both and combines them into one MP4, which is why you can save true Full HD and 4K copies.

Which YouTube quality should I choose?

For phones, 720p is usually the best balance between sharpness and file size. For laptops and TVs pick 1080p, and choose 4K (2160p) only if the original was uploaded in 4K and you have the storage for it. If you only want the soundtrack, switch to audio mode and save an MP3 instead.

YouTube downloader FAQ

How do I download a YouTube video to my phone?

Copy the video link from the YouTube app, open atlasdownloader.io in your mobile browser, paste the link and tap Download. On iPhone the file is saved in the Files app under Downloads; on Android it appears in your Downloads folder and gallery.

Can I download YouTube videos in 4K?

Yes. If the uploader published the video in 4K, the 2160p option appears in the quality list. Atlas merges the 4K picture with the best audio track into one MP4.

Is Atlas Downloader free?

Yes, it is completely free with no signup and no daily limit for normal use.

Can I download private or members-only videos?

No. Atlas only works with publicly available videos. Private, members-only and age-restricted videos require a login and are not supported.

Is it legal to download videos with Atlas Downloader?

Downloading is fine for content you own, content in the public domain or under a permissive licence, and content the creator allows you to save. Respect copyright and each platform's terms — do not re-upload or sell other people's work without permission.
